We’re working on finishing the last set of bugs and small features before we can open up to the public in December.

THUMBNAILS

One of the small features we’ve added are thumbnail previews of images. I’m sure that would have been a big request if we released without it. You’d be able to click on the thumbnail to enlarge the image and also download it or navigate to other images within a project without closing the light box.

SPECIFIC VALUES

Previously, clients and managers could only process payments based on specific percentages of 100%, 50% or 25%. That is normally how we do business at our firm, but every once in a while, we do give in and process a specific amount that do not fall into those percentages. That’s when you need to be able to apply a “Specific” amount. And so it’s there now.

CUSTOM SERVICES

Although our business model is mostly based on existing packages with specific services within them, we do every now and then get custom projects that require services not normally outlined in ANY of our packages. That’s when we need the ability to add custom services. That’s now being added.

In addition to this, for companies that do white labeling (service providers), we’ve added the ability for their WL/JV users to easily indicate whether they want to perform the services themselves or if they want the service provider to do it. It’ll be explained in a video. This feature is certainly not available in any other management program.

CONTRACT GENERATOR

Last thing on our list is an automatic proposal/contract generator. In my line of business, we’d spend an hour to write up a proposal, send it out to the client, wait for confirmation or change requests, re-write, re-send and wait for payment. After payment, then we can continue with everything else.

Here’s the thing, when we open up to the public, you’d have the ability to create a project and your proposal/agreement is automatically generated for you. The client can modify the project by removing/adding services and pay for the project inside our system. Upon paying, it would be considered a signed agreement. And when it’s paid, managers are automatically assigned, workers are automatically notified and tasks are automatically assigned. How sweet is that?

ALMOST THERE

So other than these features are just less than a dozen bugs that have to be applied to 20+ different user levels and a little cleanup work to polish up the pages. So hang in there. It will be completely worth it.

We did a small private release back in June of this year. Quite frankly, it bombed on us as we discovered countless bugs in the 20+ different levels of access. I’m surprised it didn’t melt the server (joking).

Months have passed and I am pleased to announce some very amazing features we’ve completed and working on transferring to the SplashAll live site in the next 2 weeks.

Manager Assignment System

As new projects are created (no matter who creates it), 2 Quality Assurance managers are automatically assigned to the projects. Once the project becomes active, it automatically assigns 2 different Project Managers. This new approach to automatically assigning managers allow a company to easily manage hundreds and thousands of projects, because managers are no longer seeing ALL projects. They will only see projects they are RESPONSIBLE for. This makes it easier to keep everyone accountable and focused.

With 2 QAs and 2 PMs being assigned, each have a partner they can count on to manage projects in case one is not available or missed something in the project. This ensures better services for your clients.

New Project & Questionnaire Generator

We’ve taken a whole new approach towards creating new projects and requiring data frrom clients to start a project. Many times, when you offer a website design or marketing campaign, you have a set of questions to ask, but many times the questions are generic to fit all sorts of situation. But what happens when the client doesn’t want all the services you’re offering? A lot of times, there are questions that just do not apply, so why bother having it on your list?

Now, when projects are created, questions are generated automatically specifically based on the services they ordered. And answers for each specific service is visible to workers who will work on such services. This makes every project more focused and precise, which results in a faster completion time.

Project Creation & Deadline

That wasn’t all we improved on project creation. Now, when anyone goes to create a project, you could already determine how many days a specific service will take. So if a package has X amount of services and each service has varying days totaling Y days, when a service is removed, the total days required to complete the project is automatically updated. Not only that, the deadline is also automatically selected based on the number of days required to complete the project. Just trying to automate as much as possible.

White Label and Joint Venture Users

Aside from the ability to adding and managing sales reps, WLs and JVs now have the ability to add their own partners, managers and general workers. The importance of this is so one does not have to share their only login to manage clients/projects and be able to leverage their efforts without doing all the work themselves.

WL and JV Controls

WLs and JVs now have the ability to not only disable a specific service, but an entire package they wish not to make available to their clients. In fact, WLs/JVs can also opt to perform the tasks required in a specific service or an entire package. This gives them even more control than ever, making this system very versatile and accommodating to many people.

Of course, with all these major features being added, it goes without saying we’ve added a ton of other small features. We’ve also fixed a lot of bugs… I believe in the range of about 1,800-2,000 bugs (due to multiple levels within our system).

So yes, we’ve done a lot in the past few months, but there’s 2 more things I’d like to add before we update SplashAll live and release Streamer (the self-hosted version).

Tips and Clues

There’s a TON of features and capabilities in SplashAll, and even though we’ll have very thorough training documentation and videos explaining each page and feature, it’s a lot to take in. So we want to place a tip (or question mark) icon all over the place to help explain how that page or particular section works and how it can help you.

Worker Notification System

Currently, workers were being notified of available projects based on a package selected in a project whether services within it were removed or added. However, this has a major flaw, because if certain services are removed, that means certain workers are no longer needed even though they’re being notified of an available project. That just doesn’t make sense.

Thankfully, we’ve managed to remedy the situation. Now workers are notified of available projects based on the SERVICES selected within a package of each project created. This ensures ONLY the necessary workers are notified. This is more of a big deal than most people will ever come to know.

We expect to complete all the features and updated to SplashAll by October 14th.

Once we release the next update, I’d like to turn all the search tools and nearly all drop-down menu options for People, Projects, Files, etc into suggestion fields. In that when you start to type the first few letters of a word, it will try to suggest what you are looking for. That will be a very nice addition to our program and make it more complete than ever.

Our anticipated beta launch date was March 30th, but unfortunately we came across dozens of minor bugs that would cause a bit of frustration if we were to open the doors.

We decided to hold off on the beta launch and get these bugs resolved first. Since March 30th, we have discovered around 75+ bugs. We have resolved over 60 of them. We are closing in on these bugs, so we are not far off from the release of SplashAll.

Please keep in mind that we have 20 levels. So multiply each bug by 20 and we’ve dealt with over 1,200 bugs already. This is a huge undertaking for our team to handle, but we’re not going to let 21 months of development go to waste.

And if you can imagine 2,000+ customers reporting the same 10 bugs, it will be a development nightmare for us. So the more bugs we can resolve now, the easier it will be for everyone during beta. It will allow us to get back to you and resolve your problems faster.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we truly are almost there.
